How this comparison was made

We reviewed the providers' public product, pricing, support, and printing pages on August 31, 2026. The table separates software price from optional mailing, paper, ink, toner, printer, and transaction costs.

PricePublished entry price and whether printing or transaction fees are stated.
AccessBrowser or installed software, plus whether a guest can prepare a check without opening an account.
Bank connectionWhether the core workflow needs a bank connection, or whether the product offers broader payment and banking tools.
Printing workflowOwn printer and stock, blank-paper support, mailing options, and the documented page format.
No invented first-print score

We have not completed a controlled physical print test across all four products, so we do not publish a first-print-success ranking. A fair future test would use the same printer, the same compatible stock, 100% scale, and the same fictional data, then report the number of adjustments required for each product.
