How to print a check online

The portal keeps the process focused so the important details are easy to review before printing.

01

Enter the check

Add the payee, amount, memo, and check number.

02

Review the preview

Confirm the check layout and the bank and issuer information.

03

Preview, then print

Check the PDF, test your alignment, then print on compatible check stock. You can also download the PDF.

What you need before your first print

The software is free. You supply the printer and compatible check stock.

Your authorized account details

Use a checking account you are authorized to draw on. Review the issuer, routing and account information against your own records.

A matching paper layout

The current PDF uses a top check with two stubs on US Letter paper. Match your stock to that layout, and confirm paper and ink or toner requirements with your bank and stock supplier.

One alignment test

Test on plain paper before using check stock. Keep the same printer, paper size and scaling for the final print.

Read the first-print checklist before preparing a check you intend to issue.

Useful tools, kept simple.

Prepare a one-off check as a guest, or sign in to keep reusable details and check history available across devices.

Check history

Find previously saved checks and review their current status.

Saved accounts

Reuse issuer, routing, and account details instead of entering them every time.

Import and export

Move check information in or out when you need to work with other systems.

Clear boundaries

You prepare the check. Your bank handles the payment.

We do not move money.

SwiftCheckPrint prepares printable checks. It does not send payments or connect to banking networks.

Know what gets saved.

Guest signatures stay in your browser. When signed in, a signature may be stored with your saved printing account so it is available across your devices. Read our privacy policy before entering sensitive information.

Signing in enables cloud saving.

Signed-in users can sync saved checks and account templates across devices through the portal.

Practical check-printing guides

A clear starting point, plus help when the print does not line up.

Free online check printing: common questions

Is SwiftCheckPrint really free?

Yes. The current edition lets everyone create and print checks without a subscription.

Does SwiftCheckPrint access my bank account?

No. It does not connect to a bank, verify balances, transfer funds, or authorize payments.

Do I need an account?

You can open the portal and begin preparing a check without signing in. Sign in when you want cloud saving and access across devices.

Will it work with my printer?

It uses standard browser and PDF printing. Printers and check stock vary, so use the calibration settings and print a test before using a final check.

Can I download a check as a PDF?

Yes. Review the generated PDF in the portal and use its download option. A PDF contains sensitive check details, so store it carefully and share it only with the intended recipient.

Can I sign in from another computer?

Yes. Sign in to the same account to access cloud-saved checks and printing accounts. Guest data is local to that browser, and each printer may need its own alignment check.

Can I print on ordinary paper?

Use plain paper for alignment tests. For a check you plan to issue, use compatible check stock and confirm your bank's requirements. A correct-looking preview alone does not guarantee acceptance.

Compare honestly

Choose the workflow that fits your needs.

SwiftCheckPrint publishes a transparent comparison with OnlineCheckWriter, Checkeeper, and VersaCheck. It discloses that SwiftCheckPrint owns the page, cites official sources, and does not invent a first-print-success score.
